Enjoy Summer and Your Home | Big Announcement Coming

Okay, we’ve made it to summer.  I recently took some time to appreciate our house, our freedom (yes, the 4^th of July is one of my favorite holidays), and the great opportunities we have as Americans.

My goal for this blog is to use Independence Day as an example of our Wisconsin summers and the activities we have come to love… both outdoors and inside our homes.

I soon will have some BIG news to announce regarding a very unique and exciting remodeling project we are starting with Callen this summer. I will highlight this project through upcoming blog content, including lots of before, during, and after photos. I cannot provide too many details quite yet, but soon you will see our house transformed!

One of my favorite parts of remodeling is the anticipation of the project. Remember, this is supposed to be exciting and fun. It is your home and your investment. When we thought about our next project, my wife and I really focused on what we do on a daily basis, plus what needs and wants should be addressed for our home.

Let’s face it, some projects are a need – such as windows, roof, or a new entry door. You may want a new gourmet kitchen or a bathroom update with a new walk in shower. You shouldn’t feel guilty about “wanting” something that will enhance your home and add value to it when you sell it in the future.

Summer also means music and entertainment. Smart home trends are now more than just having “Alexa” hanging around your house. Consider adding flat screens and speakers to areas of your home where you can use and enjoy them.

I can’t wait for next month, to reveal our project and “WOW” you with Callen’s ideas and design. The Callen staff has been so innovative, creative, and a joy to work with, not only on this upcoming project, but for the last couple of decades at our current and past home.
