Snow, for the record, does not rank near the top for me, but the “change of seasons” is one of my favorite aspects of living in this state.
You’ve had plenty of time to look at the inside of your home; now, it’s time to take a good look at your exterior. In general, the yard isn’t exactly beautiful… YET! But it will be soon.
Besides yard work and getting out and about to do things we’ve waited all winter for, homeowners may notice some winter damage on their home’s exterior. Maybe the windows and doors are looking beat up, there may be seal failures, or they are just aesthetically unappealing. Your home’s siding may be faded or not providing the protection needed to keep the elements on the outside.
In addition, take time in early spring to check on your downspouts, your gutter extensions, and the grade of your landscaping, as it should pitch away from your foundation. Puddles or pooling of water is a big red flag. If you notice these issues, plan to address sooner than later.
The days are getting longer, so we have more time to enjoy the great outdoors. Don’t wait for summer… do it now! Enjoy the change of seasons, embrace spring, and get outside! Call the experts at Callen to talk about and get an estimate on improving your home’s exterior.
