“I Can’t Wait to Get Home”

Now that we are entrenched in a classic hot and humid Wisconsin summer (I love it), I find myself thinking during the day “I can’t wait to get home!”

Don’t your surroundings make you feel a certain way? If I’m sitting in an empty house in a single chair, my mood wouldn’t be the same as lounging in a comfortable recliner inside a home with a beautiful atmosphere. The flow of your home, the design and yes, those renovated interior and exterior spaces help as well.

These last four months have taken a toll on all of us. I tend to be an optimist, so I know things will slowly return to normal, allowing us to attend sporting events and festivals, but that may take some time.

Words cannot express the feeling I get when I walk in my front door. When I open the door, I am greeted by a new entryway, staircase, and warm maple stained wood steps that Callen installed.

Now you know why I can’t wait to get home. I love my home (and family, of course), so I look forward to dinner, lounging, maybe some late afternoon yardwork and yes, spending time in my home! I know being home during this time is the place I want to be.
