How Our GAF Master Elite® Certification Benefits You & Your Roof

Your home is your biggest investment and, as such, it’s important to do all you can to protect it. When it comes to choosing a roofing contractor to work with, it can be hard to know exactly what you’ll be getting. You may have seen on our website that Callen holds the distinction of being a GAF Master Elite® Contractor. What exactly does this mean? Read on to find out how our certification benefits you!

The Benefits of Choosing a GAF Master Elite® Contractor

When you choose a GAF Master Elite Contractor to install your roof, you can be secure in the knowledge that your home is getting the best care possible. This is because GAF makes sure all contractors who receive this certification are properly licensed, adequately insured, and have a proven track record of quality workmanship and service. This gives you peace of mind knowing the contractor you’re working with has the necessary knowledge and experience to provide you with a strong, weathertight roof that will protect your home and family.

In addition, Master Elite contractors understand the importance of continuing education. That’s why we’re committed to staying up-to-date on the latest industry practices and emerging technology, which helps ensure your installation is of the highest possible quality.

What It Takes to Become a Master Elite® Contractor

Becoming a GAF Master Elite Contractor is no small feat. In fact, it’s very hard to do, which is why only about two percent of roofing contractors nationwide receive this certification! Before achieving Master Elite status, a company must first meet the following requirements:

  • Be in business a minimum of seven years, including one year in GAF’s Certified program.
  • Achieve a 99% client satisfaction rating, verified by an independent GAF survey.
  • Hold $1 million in general liability coverage, as well as have valid workers’ compensation insurance.
  • Have a clean banking record that shows no overdrafts or other negative information.
  • Have a good workmanship record.
  • Have a satisfactory rating with the BBB.
  • Have a good or better credit rating.
  • Have a clean distributor reference, which proves that bills are paid on time.
  • Have no outstanding judgments or liens on record.

Once a contractor has met the preceding qualifications, they must then meet face-to-face with a GAF territory manager, who will personally verify all the information, review previous projects, and follow up with references.

GAF’s Golden Pledge® Warranty

In addition, working with a GAF Master Elite Contractor means you’ll be eligible for the best warranty in the roofing industry: the GAF Golden Pledge Ltd. Warranty, which covers 100% of material defects for 50 years (20 years on three-tab shingles). It also covers 100% of installation labor costs (25-30 years for three-tab shingles) as long as the roof is installed by a certified GAF Master Elite Contractor.

With these certification benefits, Callen isn’t your average, run-of-the-mill remodeling company. In addition to our interior remodeling services, we also provide superior home exterior remodeling that includes roofing.
