Comfort Remodeling

We’ve all heard of comfort food, right? The work from home trend continues into 2021, with many of you having been away from your office for nearly a year. Have you converted a room in your home into an office? Or are you sitting with your laptop at the kitchen island doing your work?

With this in mind, I want to talk about “comfort remodeling,” a phrase that I believe I just coined. How about taking the dining room that you spend two days out of the year using and convert it to a home office or a den? Maybe remodel the lower level or possibly an empty bedroom into an office space, complete with a desk, chair, computer, cabinets, and all the other necessities.

Whether it’s working, cooking, or spending time with your family, you need (and want) to be comfortable. We recently did some small upgrades to our gas fireplace to enhance its aesthetic look. A nice warm fire during a long Wisconsin winter sure is comfortable!

Another way to make your home more comfortable is by installing Infinity from Marvin Fiberglass replacement windows and patio doors. Replacing your drafty windows and doors with quality Infinity products will provide the warm and cozy feel you desire.

Much like comfort food, remodel your house to suit your needs. I have a wife and daughter in the real estate industry and I hear so many stories about remodeling for the next owner so the house can sell. Most experts would say if you’re within six months of putting the home on the market, that’s not a bad idea. But I caution against over remodeling in that regard. It’s your house…make it comfortable for you and enjoy it.

Call Callen and their experienced Sales Design Consultant can work with you on renovating your home for comfort, functionality, and beauty.

We still have a long winter ahead of us. Let’s make the best of it with comfort remodeling and make your home comfortable!
