Remodeling Favorites for Mom

As yesterday was all about Mom, we are listing just a few of the favorites that Moms enjoyed most from past Callen remodeling projects.

• Bay Window: Not only does this type of window allow for more light to flood the space, but it can double as additional seating. The beautiful addition of a bay window can be enhanced by adding bench seating, creating a perfect space to grab and book and a cup of coffee in the morning.

• Dry Bar: As many people tend to have a liquor cabinet in their home, a dry bar is a way to elevate the room in which you choose to have it. The main benefit is it goes hand in hand with entertainment and creates its own dedicated area. The perfect hangout spot for a lady’s wine night!

• Sliding Patio Door: Most patio doors are found in the back of the kitchen area, leading to the backyard. Not only do they save space and regulate the flow of traffic, but the patio door makes it easier to keep an eye on children when they play outside. Better yet, the added screen door can let the breeze in while allowing for communication between the inside and outside.

• Walk-In Shower: A walk-in shower allows for more space and doesn’t confine a bathroom like a tub tends to. There are many additional options to add, such as a shower bench, niches, and endless options with the design. The biggest advantage of all, they are much easier to get into, clean, and maintain.
