I've said it before, September is one of my favorite months – fall, football, and family (not necessarily in that order)!
After hosting a recent Remodeling Show on WISN with Paulette Sodemann, a Senior Sales Design Consultant at Callen, in which we talked about how family lifestyles dictate traffic patterns from a Sales Design Consultant's perspective, it struck me how much planning goes into a kitchen, bathroom, lower level, or laundry room remodeling project.
Paulette discussed how she has conversations with and asks a multitude of questions of homeowners before she even starts planning a remodeling project. She said this is an exciting and fun part of the project, as the possibilities are endless and because whatever part of the home you’re renovating, it will be new!
Of course, remodeling an interior space or spaces within a home takes time and may interrupt daily routines, but that's OK. Callen project managers will figure out where to put a temporary fridge, microwave, and coffee pot while they construct your sparkling new kitchen. They’ll do the same for any other part of the house that is renovated.
During the radio program, we talked about Packers parties and how when entertaining guests, they always seem to end up in the kitchen area. With that in mind, Paulette explained that it makes sense to design your new kitchen space accordingly. For instance, she said that as part of the initial discussion with a Callen Sales Design Consultant, they will ask if you want a kitchen island, how big it should be, and where you want it located.
Another example Paulette referenced is whether there is a desire to include the very popular beverage or wine refrigerator, which can be conveniently located so guests and family can help themselves to soft drinks, wine, or a Packers victory beer! These are just two of the dozens of aspects that will be discussed at the outset of planning a remodeling project.
No matter what room you’re looking to renovate, countless ideas and products can be viewed in Callen's spectacular Muskego Design Center or online at www.callcallen.com.
