As I write this blog, we just finished one of the strangest, yet best Easters ever. Yes – BEST!
Of course, we were still sheltered in place at home. For my family, it was my wife, our youngest daughter, and me. Not what we had originally planned, but we were together.
I am still hosting my live weekend radio shows and upon returning home the Saturday before Easter, we enjoyed some outdoor yardwork (yes, we can still do that!) then we colored Easter eggs. We turned off the news and enjoyed family time.
On Easter Sunday, we watched a live stream of the Catholic mass at our Cedarburg church. Again, not what we desired, but after it was over, we realized how much we enjoyed it. We prayed and we celebrated Easter in our home, together.
If you take anything away from our current situation, it’s that your family and your home are the most important aspects of your life. For a moment, set aside thoughts of the coronavirus, the economy, and the financial struggles many Americans face. Cherish your families and enjoy your home. Soon this will pass and your family and your home will still be integral in your life.
Make your home the best it can be. Maybe it’s a small home improvement job (that old window that’s been bothering you for years can be replaced now), or possibly a large-scale remodel that you start planning now and complete later in the year. The folks at Callen are available to consult with you, able to meet virtually to answer your questions and start the renovation process.
Stay healthy and be positive! Eventually, this too shall pass.
