On Saturday, May 15, Paulette Sodemann, one of the talented Callen Construction Sales Design Consultant, and Christi Pryor, Callen’s terrific marketing manager, were my guests on the Saturday morning WISN-AM “Remodeling Show.” Having hosted the show for more than 30 years, representatives of Callen have been regular participants on the program.
I have developed not only a professional relationship, but personal friendships with owners Tom and Phil Callen, along with other Callen staff members. I often joke that Callen has touched just about every square inch of our house in one way or another! Starting with a small gutter project, a roof, windows, doors, a massive master bathroom and walk-in closet expansion, and a recent entryway loft and staircase remodel.
Every project enhanced our house, it’s efficiency, it’s value, and it’s aesthetic appeal. As we discussed a 35th anniversary sale on the show, Paulette and Christi brought up some interesting points about the Callen culture. They said it feels like family, with many employees having been with the company for 15 years, 20 years, or more.
It speaks volumes for a company to be in business 35 years. It’s even more impressive to have employees that stay at the company for decades and talk about the family culture they enjoy so much.
I want to congratulate the entire Callen family on 35 years of excellence – they really do put the “WOW” in home remodeling. Yes, they are award-winning professionals who create “over the top” incredible projects. But more importantly, they care about their clients, and employees. Here’s to continued success!! Congrats, Callen!
