Spring can sort of drag on…and on…and on. I have learned to like this season more than when I was younger, as I don’t have to plow, shovel, or salt for snow. However, it feels like I just want summer to be here – warm temperatures, fun activities, and family vacations. Don’t worry, that will come soon enough, and before I know it, I’ll be writing a blog about prepping your house for winter.
Before we get ahead of ourselves, this is a great season to get things done, such as spring cleaning inside and outside of your home. We just cleaned all of our Marvin window screens that were installed by Callen experts! We removed the wet leaves and messy winter debris from the screens and window wells. That was just the start of projects that we will be completing over the next several weeks.
But, what about a remodeling projects, like updating the kitchen, bathroom, lower level, or laundry room? You can’t just pick up the phone, call a contractor, and expect them to start remodeling next week. It takes planning and designing the space exactly as you want it to be. Due to a variety of reasons, the availability and delivery of products is currently taking much longer than it has in the past. In addition, lumber and other material costs have gone up.
With that in mind, it is important to the planning process now, in spring. Begin by talking to one of Callen’s talented Sales Design Consultants. They will talk with you to get information on what you’re looking to accomplish, measure the space to be renovated, then show you a computer rendering of your future project that looks so real, you’d swear it was a photograph.
With summer still pretty far off, add planning for your remodeling project to the list of things to get done this spring.
