Whether it be the bathroom, living room, or your kitchen, cabinetry is something found in every home! Here at Callen, we work with StarMark® Cabinetry as one of the two cabinetry lines we offer, and we have several reasons to back that decision.
StarMark Cabinetry is handcrafted for each project’s exact specifications to last a lifetime, eliminating the worry of replacing your cabinetry 10 years in the future. The quality comes from the step-by-step production process of each cabinet.
- Doors are assembled by hand. This ensures they have tight joints, and the decorative trim is aligned properly.
- Doors are machine and hand sanded.
- Cabinetry is glazed by hand. First, the wood is stained and then hand–rubbed into the wood for the most consistent and rich color coverage. Then, to add more depth, glaze is applied and removed by hand. When the glaze is wiped off, the craftsman can match details to customer requests.
- Cabinetry is distressed by hand. This helps balance knife marks or worm holes to achieve the desired look that a machine cannot do.
Each cabinetry process, which will look different, depending on the specifications, may involve from eight steps up to 14 steps to master a beautiful and durable finish. StarMark has inspectors at every step to ensure each component meets their standards.
We have more to share than just the StarMark process – stay tuned for future blogs on all things cabinetry. If you’re interested in starting a kitchen or bath project at your home, call Callen at 414-867-2207 or visit CallCallen.com to schedule your initial consultation in our Muskego Design Center.
