I like the mix, but it got me to thinking about how some subdivisions tend to have the same appearance. We’ve all seen these newer developed homes that are beautiful, but sometimes lack character to differentiate one from another. It also reminded me that just because the tendency is to go with shades of gray (the trendy colors these days) and follow the same design theme inside and outside the home that others do, it is important to pick the color, and products, YOU prefer.
I would include landscaping and hardscaping in this discussion as well. Although everything is new and fresh, it sometimes lacks a certain charm. My advice is to remodel your home the way you want, not the way an architectural review board or your friends and family (who all have good intentions) would like.
With that in mind, it takes a qualified design professional to assist in developing the look you want, taking your ideas to create a home design plan that’s affordable, functional, suitable to your needs, and makes you happy.
Once the contractor leaves that house, you’re the one who lives in it. Use your imagination, work with a Callen Sales Design Consultant, and remodel your house so that it will be YOUR dream home for years to come!
